About

Guidance from someone who understands movement and endurance goals.

Eric Applegate, DPT, is one of the physical therapists on the California Rehab and Sports team. Eric graduated with his DPT in 2024 from California State University, Sacramento. Following graduation, he completed a 6 month training in PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) working with patients who suffered from neurological injuries such as stroke and spinal cord injury at Kaiser Permanente, Vallejo.

The holistic approach he learned from the PNF program is apparent in the way he treats his patients. Eric has done extensive research on treatment approaches for meniscal injuries and foot mechanics and enjoys sharing this knowledge with anyone with time to listen. He is currently involved in an orthopedic residency to become an orthopedic specialist in the field.

Outside of physical therapy, Eric enjoys spending his time with his wife, 2 dogs and cat, and his church community. He enjoys staying active with running, hiking, and biking, and participates yearly in endurance events. He is currently training to complete a 100 mile ultra marathon.

Travel fee may apply beyond a 10-mile radius. Cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice may be charged 50% of the session rate. Align and Thrive provides wellness coaching, education, and training support; it does not replace evaluation or treatment in a traditional outpatient physical therapy clinic.
